Bradenton, FL – February 25, 2025 – The Manatee Literacy Council is thrilled to announce the success of its recent “Flavors of Literacy” event. We extend our gratitude to all the restaurant partners and sponsors who contributed to making this event a memorable and impactful occasion. The Flavors of Literacy event brought together community members to celebrate the importance of literacy while enjoying a diverse array of culinary delights from different ethnicities, each perfectly paired with a beer from the same region, donated courtesy of Gold Coast Eagle Distributing. Our heartfelt thanks go to the following restaurant partners:
– Acapulco Tropical
– Anna Maria Oyster Bar
– Mama G’s German Bakeries
– My Thai Restaurant
– La Belle Fourchette
One lucky person won two roundtrip tickets courtesy of Southwest Airlines, and everyone received a $5 gift card from Goodwill Manasota to pick up their next great read! Everyone enjoyed the delightful tunes by MillerTyme and had the opportunity to meet local authors including Brenda Spaulding, John Maly, Anna Easter Smith, and Lucy Tobias.
Additionally, we are deeply grateful to our sponsors:
– Lake Michigan Credit Union
– Dwell Home
– Goodwill Manasota
Their dedication and generosity have made a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we are fostering a brighter future for individuals and families through the power of literacy.
